Abstract : The Chart Shows the 1997 Mortality rates for colorectal and female breast cancer among selected countries. The data are presented by sex and are age standardized to the 1980 OECD population. Colorectal cancer mortality amongst males in USA was 21.8 deaths per 100,000 population. Canada ranked second with 22.7. This number was followed by Italy with 23.4, Japan with 24.7, France with 24.8, UK with 26.3 and Germany with 30.9. For colorectal cancer in females France reported 14.0 deaths per 100,000 population followed by Japan with 14.2 and Italy with 14.5. Canada ranked fourth with 14.6 followed by USA (14.9), UK (26.3) and Germany (20.4). For female breast cancer, Japan reported 9.4 deaths per 100,000 followed by Italy with 24.5, USA with 24.8 and France with 24.9.
